The Orthopaedic Manipulative Physiotherapy Group (OMPTG) of South Africa

The Orthopaedic Manipulative Physiotherapy Group (OMPTG) of South Africa holds an annual general meeting each year. It is held in the province where the GEC of the OMPTG is currently in office. The 6 provincial chairpersons are flown in by the GEC (voted at OMPTG AGM 2009) and deliver their reports.

All OMPTG members are invited to attend the National AGM where the GEC reports back to the physiotherapy attendees. National proposals are discussed and a vote is taken at the AGM. The proposals are circulated by email prior to the AGM and proxy votes may be sent by members who are unable to attend and would like to vote. A quorum of Members is required for the vote to be carried.

The provincial OMPTG groups hold their annual meeting more than two weeks prior to the national AGM to discuss matters arising with members at a local level. These provincial physiotherapy representatives provide feedback to the GEC in a report at the AGM.
